(Summary description) Torque sensors, also known as torque sensors, torque transducers, torque sensors, torque meters, are divided into two categories: dynamic and static. Torque sensors are detecting torque sensing of various rotating or non-rotating mechanical components for use in electric bicycles, which we call mid-axis torque sensors to distinguish them from conventional torque sensors. The structure of a mid-axis torque sensor consists of a mid-axis, a strain relief sleeve, a pedalling force output element and a five-way. It features a strain relief sleeve which is fixed to the five-way by means of a bearing at one end and is connected to the pedalling force output, while the other end is mounted on the centre shaft and fixed to it. The inner surface of the strain sleeve matches the outer surface of the centre shaft and the torque transducer is affixed to the outer surface of the strain sleeve, transmitting the signal to the controller which controls the motor output. Resistance strain gages are divided into many structures such as: a single resistor is a single piece with two structures AA, AB, two resistors are half-bridge pieces with structures BB, FB, HA, etc., four resistors are full-bridge pieces with structures EB, FG, KA, etc. The middle axis torque sensor uses a half-bridge piece with structure HA, which is also known as double-slant piece or feather piece according to the arrangement of the wire grid. Mainly used in the measurement of torque sensors, with the advantages of high sensitivity (usually dozens of times more than the filament type, foil type), small lateral effect.
