Established in 2013, Kclamber Electric Technology Corp. is a technology-oriented enterprise focusing on the R&D and manufacturing of various sensors. It mainly provides solutions for for EPACs.

The company is located in the National Industrial Park of Chengxiang Town, Taicang, a bicycle industry cluster, covering an area of 2250m2. Now we have a R&D team of more than 10 people and production and QA staff of more than 40 personnel. The core members come from leading companies in the industry, such as Giant, Bosch, Merida, Infineon, etc. The company has a complete product portfolio, including BB cadence sensors, BB torque sensors, dropout cadence sensors, dropout torque sensors, freewheel cadence sensors, freewheel torque sensors, etc. 

The current annual production capacity is 180,000 units, and the annual sales turnover has reached 40 million. The products are mainly intended for the European and US markets, including traditional bicycle OEMs and shared electric vehicle companies, and have gained decent recognition from customers.

The R&D team has more than 10 years of experience in the development of electronic control systems for EPACs, and the sensor products have been awarded over 30 national invention patents and utility model patents. Besides the existing products, we also undertake customized development of related sensors, and have built relationships with a number of drive system companies

Development History

The company has successfully developed a torque, pedal frequency and speed integrated hook and claw sensor (TOSS), without any accessory parts, to solve the traditional hook and claw storage torque sensor in the ride caused by frame accuracy, road bumps, turning frame deformation caused by the flying problem. By integrating the pedaling sensor signal, it better solves the safety problem of the pure torque hook and claw type sensor and improves the riding comfort. The product has successfully applied for a national invention patent.

Successfully developed the first generation of mid-axis speed sensor (ZYPB structure is engineering plastic structure), which solved the problem of traditional external disk pedal frequency sensor's impact on the appearance and reliability of the whole vehicle. The product was successfully applied for a national utility model patent.

The company developed the first generation of mid-axle torque sensor (TORG1B) to solve the compatibility problem of traditional bicycle frame structure with torque sensors and facilitate the design and development of the whole bicycle. The product was successfully applied for a national invention patent.

The successful development of the mid-axis full-angle sensing torque sensor (TORG2B) solved the problem of the first generation of mid-axis torque sensor (TORG1B) with special requirements for mounting angle, more sensitive sensing and more comfortable riding; however, it also posed a challenge to the front crank of the whole bike (the front crank and the right crank have to be separated, which requires customisation for many accessories), with complex structure and high cost. The product and technology have successfully applied for a number of national patents for inventions and utility models.

The centre axis speed sensor has been completely upgraded (ZYPB), the induction body housing is made of aluminium alloy and the left and right bowl parts have been upgraded to metal, which has improved the strength of the centre axis speed sensor and made it more safe and reliable.

The company has successfully developed a more front-end technology torque sensor - the motor tower base torque sensor (TORG4B), which completely solves the problem of compatibility with traditional bicycle systems and further popularises the application of torque type electric power assist systems on all types of bicycles at high, medium and low end, making the whole bike more simple and aesthetically pleasing. This highly integrated torque sensor solution can be integrated into the rear hub motor as well as traditional bicycle hubs, simplifying the entire bike alignment, making wiring more concise and reducing assembly and maintenance costs. The product technology has been successfully applied for a number of national inventions, utility models and international patents in Europe and the US.

A further technical extension to the tower-based integrated torque sensor has been made, and a spin-fly torque sensor (TORG5B) has been developed to complete the demand for torque solutions for high, medium and low-end electric vehicle products. The product technology has been successfully applied for a number of national patents and international patents in Europe and the USA.

A further technical extension to the tower-based integrated torque sensor is the development of the tower-based pedal speed sensor (Cadc4* series), which fully meets the various needs of the market.

In response to market demand, the company has successfully developed a torque transducer (TORG8B series) with a small axial dimension (down to 38 mm) and a more compact structure to meet the needs of more high-end special structures for mid-mounted motors.

Another mid-motor integrated torque sensor (TORG7B) has been developed with a small outer diameter (35mm OD) to suit the needs of another special type of mid-motor configuration, further completing the line of high-end mid-motor torque sensors.
